At the School for the Deaf, University of Tsukuba, we have been providing subtitles on a screen at every ceremony as a means of information support for our hearing-impaired or hard-of-listening students from the school year of 1998 (the 10th Year of Heisei). As a note for each ceremony speech is usually completed beforehand, we have edited the subtitles by using the notes and Microsoft PowerPoint, and superimposed the subtitles with the image of the speaker on our 100-inch screen.
