Mothersf Participation through Teaching Record

Kengo YOSHINO

At the end of the 1st Semester of the 1st Year, I asked all the mothers of the pupils in my class to write a gTeaching Recordh every day. In a class, each mother was supposed to write word for word my instruction to her child, the childfs reaction to my instruction, and the childfs words in the Teaching Record. Each mother then submitted the Record to me upon which I added to the Record my words spoken in the class, my intention of each instruction, the childfs words in the class, and the evaluation of what the child thought, and returned it to each mother on the next day. Through these efforts, I have been successful in allowing each mother to understand her childfs situation and the intentions of my instructions, which has led to all the mothersf enthusiastic participation in my teaching. Also, I have been able to effectively review and reflect the intentions of my teaching to the 1st Year pupils by organizing the teacherfs comments in the Record.
